Hello Ladies,
I hope life is treating you well! I am here with with a blog on different types of wigs.
Interesting topic right? Have you ever wondered how Kylie Jenner can have different looks each day?
Well, I am gonna bust the secret right away.
The secret behind her different hair looks are Real Hair WIGS!!!
Let me explain ….
There are 2 types of Wigs :
Synthetic hair wigs or man made fibre Wigs.
These are cost-wise cheaper than Real hair wigs, but look fake and doesn’t blend in your real hair.
Real Hair Wigs which are 100% human hair wigs.
Since they are made of real human hair, they give a natural look and is very light-weight compared to synthetic hair wig.
So today let me share a few facts and details about various kinds of Real Hair Wig!
- Full Lace Wig:
Full Lace Wigs are also called as Lace wigs. It is fully hand made wig. Each strand of hair is hand-knotted on the wig like a person does embroidery on fabric. It’s a labour of love, a work of art. They tend to be costlier then machine-made Wigs because its labour-intensive.
But there are advantages galore. The hair is flexible and can be tied up into a pontail convincingly. It has baby hairs at the hair line which gives a very natural look. The skin-colour lace on which its woven allows your scalp to breath. They can be styled in multiple ways, parted anywhere. Happie Hair Wigs are made with 100% Indian Virgin Hair. It means the hair has never been coloured before in its lifetime. The hair quality increases the lifespan of the wig alongwith a glamorous look.
- Half Lace Wig:
Half Lace Wigs are also called as Lace Frontal Wigs.
In this kind of wigs, the front part or the hair line is made of hand knotted hair. The back portion is made of wefts of hair stitched on lace to give volume and length to the wigs.
Full Lace Wigs and Lace Frontals tend to give similar look. The only difference is the movement of hair & the price. They are cheaper compared to Full Lace Wig.
- Cap Based Wig:
This design is best for those looking to add volume at the crown. The lightweight cap made of lace has hair handknotted in different sizes of the closure.
Similar to Half Lace Wig, front section is hand made & the hair at the back is machine tied wefts or weaves. 2 or 3 bundles of hair weaves are used to make a single wig. They are sewn onto the wig net/cap. These wigs are faster to make and hence the labour cost involved is lesser. Its main advantage is that its affordable and durable while giving a very natural looking hairline.
Pro tips for styling a wig
Your wig can be styled by using a wig brush, a wig comb, or your fingertips. Avoid using a brush designed for human hair. These brushes can create excessive tension, over-stretching the hair with abrasive strokes that may damage the hair.
Lightly spray, your wig with water to remove static electricity and return your wig to its original look. To achieve style variations, liquid wig mousse is an essential styling tool. For curly or wavy styles, just use mousse and hand scrunch to enhance the original curls.
