Dear Ladies

We are in the lock down mode for more than a month now. The thoughts are mostly on getting the essentials stocked up. We all are attempting to make the most out of the lockdown  – a good number days to get our act together, complete our to-do list, de-clutter, skin-goals, hair goals, fitness goals.

In the course of our everyday hustle, we often neglect ourselves. Priority is given to our family, career, education and other things. If any time is left over after all these time consuming activities, its time to treat our hair to a spa or our skin to a facial or a massage. Women living in metro cities will surely identify with this.

What if there is an easier, simpler way of attaining supple, ravishing skin and silky lustrous hair? A back to basics approach including simple additions to our daily diet. Skin and hair problems are our everyday worries. How about protecting them by increasing the intake of healthy foods. Its doable, achievable. At least its worth a try. It’s the least we owe ourselves, it’s the most we can make in a quarantine like situation. While it may not be possible to get all these foods right now, do try to pick up some of these.

Here’s a list of 9 healthy foods you can really try to include in your diet.

  1. DARK CHOCOLATE : Yes! Dark chocolate is rich in vitamins like A, B1, C, D and E which nourish your skin while retaining moisture. It releases your happy hormones and is a natural stress buster. Reduces wrinkles, and protects from sun damage. So if there is Bournville, Hersheys, Lindt in the refrigerator, you can start having them judiciously.
  2. WALNUTS : Indians always stock up on dry fruits to add to sweet dishes made at home. The humble walnut keeps your skin plump and glowing by removing toxins that damage your skin cells. It protects against harmful UV rays and has anti-inflammatory compounds which can soothe your skin while reducing scalp irritation. You can eat one walnut in the morning before breakfast.
  3. BROCCOLI  : This green veggie is available in good amount in the market these days as it is locally grown and distributed. It is full of vitamin A and C, zinc and other minerals which are important for skin health. It detoxes the body and purifies the blood. The result – clear skin and growing hair.
  4. OMEGA 3 FATTY ACIDS – Fresh fish like salmon of course is the first option, but in the current situation, its difficult to procure. Fish oils capsules containing Omega 3 acids are a very good option. Consuming this will lead to healthy cell membrane resulting in soft, moist, supple and wrinkle-free skin. Omega 3 capsules are available at the chemists shop and you can buy them OTC.
  5. EGGS : Eggs are one of the best super foods for healthy hair and skin. Eggs provide hydration to your skin and also repair any damage. The proteins in eggs help in softening your hair along with strengthening it and giving a really amazing shine. Sulphur from the eggs leads to shiny locks, strong nails and glowing skin.
  6. TOMATOES : Raw tomatoes added to salads or just sliced and eaten with Chat masala are everyone’s favourites. Its good for skin and can be used against the harsh UV rays of the sun. It can cure sunburn, oily skin and also prevents acne, thanks to its antioxidant content. Rich in vitamins and minerals, tomatoes are good for increasing red blood cells and even fight cancer forming cells. They have cooling and astringent properties.
  7. SPINACH : Its loaded with Iron and Vitamin A. Iron deficiency is associated with four different types of hair loss : male pattern baldness, alopecia areata, telogen effluvium and diffuse hair loss. Spinach being high in Vitamin A, folate and zinc helps transport oxygen and nutrients through blood cells delivering them to your scalp where it can help feed the follicles. Enjoy it raw in a salad or slightly cooked as a side dish.
  8. BEANS, LENTILS : Not many people think of beans as a food that promotes hair growth but thanks to their high concentration of iron and being a decent source of protein if you’re a vegetarian, (beans like Rajma, lentils like chickpeas ) can certainly assist in minimizing breakage and fighting off dryness. Iron deficiency can also cause thinning so make sure you’re getting enough.
  9. YOGURT : We love yogurt for hair because not only is it a delicious treat but its also high in Vitamin B5, a common ingredient found in hair products which help thicken hair follicles making them more resilient to breakage. Yogurt and other dairy products are often fortified with Vitamin D. Since most people are deficient thanks to our indoor lifestyles, you might want to add yogurt as a healthy snack. You can make it even healthier by adding berries in it.

Now that you are armed with these simple and easy to procure essentials we strongly recommend you stock up on them and watch your skin get clearer and healthier and your hair get stronger and thicker.

Ciao….

Hello Ladies,

I hope life is treating you well! I am here with with a blog on different types of wigs.

Interesting topic right? Have you ever wondered how Kylie Jenner can have different looks each day?

Well, I am gonna bust the secret right away.

The secret behind her different hair looks are Real Hair WIGS!!!

Let me explain ….

There are 2 types of Wigs :

Synthetic hair wigs or man made fibre Wigs.

These are cost-wise cheaper than Real hair wigs, but look fake and doesn’t blend in your real hair.

Real Hair Wigs which are 100% human hair wigs.

Since they are made of real human hair, they give a natural look and is very light-weight compared to synthetic hair wig.

So today let me share a few facts and details about various kinds of Real Hair Wig!

  1. Full Lace Wig:

Full Lace Wigs are also called as Lace wigs. It is fully hand made wig. Each strand of hair is hand-knotted on the wig like a person does embroidery on fabric. It’s a labour of love, a work of art. They tend to be costlier then machine-made Wigs because its labour-intensive.

But there are advantages galore. The hair is flexible and can be tied up into a pontail convincingly. It has baby hairs at the hair line which gives a very natural look. The skin-colour  lace on which its woven allows your scalp to breath. They can be styled in multiple ways, parted anywhere. Happie Hair Wigs are made with 100% Indian Virgin Hair. It means the hair has never been coloured before in its lifetime. The hair quality increases the lifespan of the wig alongwith a glamorous look.

  1. Half Lace Wig:

Half Lace Wigs are also called as Lace Frontal Wigs.

In this kind of wigs, the front part or the hair line is made of hand knotted hair. The back portion is made of wefts of hair stitched on lace to give volume and length to the wigs.

Full Lace Wigs and Lace Frontals tend to give similar look. The only difference is the movement of hair & the price. They are cheaper compared to Full Lace Wig.

  1. Cap Based Wig:

This design is best for those looking to add volume at the crown. The lightweight cap made of lace has hair handknotted in different sizes of the closure.

Similar to Half Lace Wig, front section is hand made & the hair at the back is machine tied wefts or weaves. 2 or 3 bundles of hair weaves are used to make a single wig. They are sewn onto the wig net/cap. These wigs are faster to make and hence the labour cost involved is lesser. Its main advantage is that its affordable and durable while giving a very natural looking hairline.

Pro tips for styling a wig

Your wig can be styled by using a wig brush, a wig comb, or your fingertips. Avoid using a brush designed for human hair. These brushes can create excessive tension, over-stretching the hair with abrasive strokes that may damage the hair.

Lightly spray, your wig with water to remove static electricity and return your wig to its original look. To achieve style variations, liquid wig mousse is an essential styling tool. For curly or wavy styles, just use mousse and hand scrunch to enhance the original curls.

So that’s it for today. For any hair related queries feel free to call us on 9324649621.

This Holiday Season, Let #GreatHairNoCare Be Your Mantra!

Hello ladies,

Are you all worried your hair will be a bother as you gear up to take a holiday? Don’t be. Follow this simple guide to have picture-perfect hair throughout your vacation.

Summers are rather tricky. On the one hand, all you want to do is use your free time to escape your routine and on the other hand, you find yourself trying to fix your hair woes for that perfect vacation look. Situations in which your hair don’t cooperate with you and refuse to sit right for pictures are far too frequent (and annoying). Fighting with your partner for the tiny solo mirror in your hotel room’s bathroom in the morning before heading out for a day of sightseeing sounds relatable, doesn’t it?

To avoid unnecessary fuss over keeping your hair on point, you need an easy hair routine that you can follow. This is where hair extensions come into the picture. Lugging around tons of hair products and styling your natural hair every day sounds cumbersome. You need to let go of your fixed hair care and styling ideas and make room for some chic hair extensions.

This is why you need to travel with hair extensions!

  • Using hair extensions on your trip enables you to play with a variety of looks without damaging your hair with heat or glue or chemicals.
  • Your dreams of travelling light will finally come true because you will not have to carry a huge load of hair products and styling tools.
  • You won’t have to spend hours labouring before the mirror to set your hair. This means, you can utilise your time for more fun causes like exploring your holiday destination, shopping, vacation mimosas- the works!

Micro ring loops to the rescue!

If you are confused about what type of hair extensions to get, micro ring loops are a good place to start with. They are suited for travel because they do not have as much metal content as clip-on hair extensions, which means that you won’t beep loudly at the airport security check counter. Micro ring loops also have a great grip and can be easily styled and maintained.

Here are a few tips and tricks to have up your sleeve while travelling with hair extensions.

If you already have a few trusty hair extensions you flaunt when you travel, following these simple steps while styling them when you are travelling is a good idea:

  • While putting your hair extensions on, use a teasing brush. These brushes are tiny and can be fit into suitcases without any trouble.
  • If you are on a beach vacation, scrunch your natural hair and the hair extensions as well with a sea salt spray to get a perfectly blended, cute beachy look.
  • Clip the wefts closer together if your natural hair is considerably shorter than your hair extensions.
  • Style your hair extensions first and then fasten them to your head instead of vice versa to save time.
  • If you are holidaying at a cold wintery destination, use a hydrating serum or argan oil on your hair and the extensions for a tamed look.

Beat the heat in style and say goodbye to hair damage forever! Follow this guide to up your style quotient while you are on holiday. All you have to do is invest in the right hair extensions and then, you will be all set to experiment with colour, textures, and lengths so long as you opt for customisable hair extensions.

Hello,

Hi, this is  Vrinda. I have been receiving a lot of queries from all the lovely ladies out there asking if there are any after effects of hair extensions, as in like “is it really safe to wear hair extensions?” So I thought of writing this blog to give some real facts and bust some myths.

MYTH 1. DO HAIR EXTENSION DAMAGE YOUR REAL HAIR?

Clip On extensions & Micro Ring loops are really gentle on your hair. This is because clips and micro beads are silicon lined and give a gentle but firm grip. Its like clipping any normal clip or broach on your hair. Micro Ring Loops are installed without any glue or heat. These extensions are installed in your hair by adding the micro loop having a weight of only 0.8gms or 1gm each. Needless to say you MUST consult a hairstylist who is trained in hair extensions to advise you which type of hair extension is suitable for your hair and your lifestyle.

MYTH 2. IT MAY NOT BLEND WITH YOUR REAL HAIR

This is so not true when you are talking about real human or remy hair extensions. Synthetic or artificial clip ins do look fake & don’t blend in real hair because they have an extra shine and are thicker and heavier than normal hair. Kannekalon extensions on the other hand are heat resistant and look more like real hair inspite of being artificial.

Whereas, if you buy 100 % human hair  extensions whether its clip-ons or ponytail extensions it will blend in your hair pretty well.

Synthetic hair cannot be an alternative. If you want volume and length you should definitely go for  real or Remy Hair Extensions that will blend in your hair and give you a natural look.

MYTH 3. ARE HAIR EXTENSIONS HIGH MAINTENANCE?

The answer to this is NO!

They are not high maintenance! You can wash clip-ins at home using a mild shampoo and conditioner. You don’t have to wash them every time you wear. You have to wash them after you wear them 10-15 times.  Applying conditioner to them and rinsing after 30 minutes will ensure that they look soft and shiny and will be tangle free.

Additionally you can apply hair serum to them to style them and take good care.

All this takes only about 15 minutes of your time in a month( depends upon how frequently you use your extensions).

MYTH 4. HAIR EXTENSIONS TAKE TOO LONG TO INSTALL?

Once you get used to wearing hair extensions it will only take 2-3 mins to wear them. Hair extension can be an ideal solution for long and lustrous hair in an instant. They will be your best friends for life.

MYTH 5. HAIR EXTENSIONS  MAY BECOME  VISIBLE

This can be true if you apply it incorrectly. You can check our videos to learn how to wear extensions without visibility.  Also, micro ring loops are masterly installed and mixed flawlessly into your hair. No one will be able to make out that you have installed extensions.

MYTH 6. HAIR EXTENSIONS CANNOT BE STYLED –

This is probably one of the biggest myths about hair extensions. Real hair extensions can be styled as you do to your natural hair. If you don’t want to damage your real hair by styling them you should definitely go for extensions. But make sure to invest in good quality of hair so it serves you the best by giving your hair a natural feel.

So if you are looking for volume and length instantly, we are just a call away.
